- Plant 4-5 m long, stems up to 2 m long, 3-6 cm diameter. Ribs 3(4), with rounded edges, 2-3 cm high. Spines 8-13, needle-like, 1-1,5 cm l0ng. Flowers 14-15,5 cm long. Receptaculum with curly hairs, 2-4 cm long and inconspicuous spines. Outer petals depressed. Fruit green to green-yellow, with a strongt smell of onions.
