- Terrestrial or epiphytic, with creeping, climbing or hanging stems up to 6 m long. Stems edged, with aerial roots and thorns. Flowers up to 20 cm wide. Inner petals white. Stamens yellow. Fruit yellow, up to 10 cm across. Pulpa white. Seed black, up to 3 mm long.
